Alistair works in SEC Newgate’s financial and corporate communications practice and is experienced at supporting clients navigate high-stakes issues and financial transactions across various industries.
A trusted project manager, Alistair’s experience spans issues and reputation management, mergers and acquisitions, media and investor relations, internal communications, crisis response and corporate positioning. He also has experience supporting clients manage shareholder activist campaigns.
His recent experience includes supporting Suncorp Group with the sale of its banking operations to ANZ and playing a prominent role in the team advising Whitehaven on its acquisition of two metallurgical coal mines in Queensland.
Alistair’s other assignments have included a range of sensitive projects, often working across the full spectrum of corporate and public affairs. His clients have included leading ASX-listed companies, international banks, major technology firms and organisations with high-profile Board members and executive leaders.
Alistair has worked for SEC Newgate in Sydney and Brisbane. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at Bank of Queensland Group as a communications adviser, supporting internal and external affairs across various divisions, including the business bank and company secretariat.
Alistair holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Business (Public Relations) from the Queensland University of Technology. He is also undertaking formal investor relations training through the Australian Investor Relations Association.
